UPDATE: Father in court for death of five year old

FINAL GOODBYE: Caleb Ouman, the five-year-old boy who died, allegedly due to a beating by his father, was buried recently.

SEISAX Boesak (35), who is charged with the murder of his five-year-old son, Caleb Ouman, remains behind bars after his brief court appearance in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on October 4.

His next court appearance will be on October 30.

The case was remanded pending the postmortem results.

Caleb was found dead and covered in bruises on August 31.

One of his aunts, Lilly Wilson, said the family was taking his death hard.

She said her mother was stressed because, even though Boesak is her son, she didn’t protect him against previous charges of abuse, as was claimed in the media.

“Caleb grew up in front of us and everyone in our neighbourhood will tell you that he was a well-behaved boy,” Wilson added.
