Telkom store robbed at Mall of the South

THE Telkom store at Mall of the South was on August 8, at around 5.40pm, robbed. The mall was asked for comment.

“Mall of the South Centre Management can confirm that an armed robbery took place at the Telkom store on August 8, just before 6pm. Five suspects entered the store pretending to be potential clients. The suspects fled the site, with an undisclosed amount of goods, in a white Toyota Avanza.

“The store alerted their offsite security response first after the incident took place. Security and mall management were informed only once the suspects left the mall. Security immediately alerted the South African Police Services, CPF and SOS to assist with the investigation.

“No injuries and no shots were reported. There was no disruption in the mall. It is trading as normal,” said centre management.

No other information is available.
